35 weeks

HOW YOUR BABY IS GROWING AT 35 WEEKS:
Your baby doesn't have much room to maneuver now that she's over 18 inches long and tips the scales at 5 1/4 pounds (pick up a honeydew). Because it's so snug in your womb, she isn't likely to be doing somersaults anymore, but the number of times she kicks should remain about the same. Her kidneys are fully developed now, and her liver can process some waste products. Most of her basic physical development is now complete — she'll spend the next few weeks putting on weight.

(You're telling me!  At my last checkup I had put on 6 pounds in two weeks.  SIX!  Granted most of that was probably the 17 liters of fluid accumulating in my legs and feet but come on!  Also, when she moves, she moves.  Her most recent discovery is how to make more room for herself in there, which usually involves painfully shoving her head into my bladder and poking it with her pointy little fingers, or grabbing my kidneys by the handful and kicking my stomach.  Every turn feels like something is crawling in circles inside my abdomen, sort of like those motorcycle guys in the cage at Barnum and Bailey's.)
